There was a bit of a debate over where Texas Congresswoman Kay Granger is now living because she doesn’t spend much time in Washington, D.C. Over the weekend, it turned out that she hasn’t really cast a ballot since July and has missed 54 % of the election all year.  ,

We finally received a tip from a Granger fundamental on Friday, according to the Dallas Express,” We then discovered that the Congresswoman had been found wandering lost and confused in her past Cultural District/West 7th area. She has been residing at a nearby storage care and assisted living facility for some time.
Dallas Express team visited the congresswoman’s company, which was “packed up” before Thanksgiving. They even tried to call, but no one ever answered. Granger did not run for re-election and intended to leave in January, but by all addresses, she already has. However, the associate executive director for the top living service confirmed that Granger is, however, a native there.  ,
What happened next turned into something of a “he said, she said” type of position, but it didn’t negate the fact that Granger, a sitting Republican congressman, has been excluded from her work at such a critical moment. The GOP’s small bulk makes this story also more concerning.
Granger’s representatives denied that she was in a “memory maintenance” service, but they did not refute any of the other assertions made by the Daily Express.  , On Sunday, Granger also put out a declaration that said,” As many family, friends, and associates have known, I have been navigating some unexpected health issues over the past year. Nevertheless, since early September, my health problems have progressed making repeated travel to Washington hard and unstable”. Perhaps so, Granger was in D. C. in November for her parliamentary painting opening.  ,

Brandon Granger, the congresswoman’s child, also spoke up, telling the New York Post that it was all a” a load of bull **t”. He confirmed that his family was residing in an “independent life service” and that she was not involved in the establishment’s memory care facility. He added that his mother’s dementia was “very swift and quite difficult” and that her decrease had been “very fast and quite difficult.”
Additionally, according to The Post, Granger and Chris Putnam, the CEO of the Dallas Express, faced off in her 2020 key. There might be some bad blood it. But Putnam says it isn’t real. What will I do if I decide to ignore the story only because I ran a major against her? I have no personal antagonism against her either. He continued,” I just think it’s incredibly sad, and the right factor for her to have done is to slowly and smoothly retire and let her son to be appointed to her seat so that the district continued to possess representation.”  ,
Another — from both parties — agree. Granger, who resigned as seat of the House Appropriations Committee next spring, claimed that the committee was aware of her health and inability to travel, but many people have accused her of being dishonest. Rolando Garcia, a Texas Republican senior committee member, posted the following on X:  ,
Republican Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales appeared on” Face the Nation” on Sunday and said,” I wasn’t aware. I believe there is no denying that many of us were aware that she was growing in years, as many of the people do. Unfortunately, some of these people wait until things have gone to way” . ,

Ro Khanna, a California-based Democrat, even advocated for word boundaries in a post about the situation on X.  ,
Granger served as Fort Worth’s president before running for the 12th congressional district in Texas, a position she has held since 1997. The condition also makes a” powerful case for word limits,” according to Utah Senator Mike Lee.  ,  ,
Despite all the back and forth, one thing is certain: Granger has been unfit to serve and has been for some day. What is a senator who has memory and needs assisted living somewhere, given that our own president isn’t healthy enough to offer either?  , According to Politico,” Granger is one of 23 members of Congress ( 16 in the House and seven senators ) who are at least 80 years old, a group that is led by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa ), who is 91″.  ,
