According to his deputy chief of staff, Angel Urena, former US President Bill Clinton, 78, was discharged from Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington on Tuesday following treatment for the virus.
He and his family are touched by the type texts and well-wishes he received and are profoundly appreciative of the team’s extraordinary care at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He extends his best intentions to everyone for a prosperous and joyful holiday time, Urea said in a statement.
” President Clinton continues to be in excellent spirits and expresses his sincere gratitude for the excellent care he received,” Urena continued.
Urena confirmed in a blog on the social media platform X that Clinton had been admitted on Monday after suffering from a fever.
Clinton was admitted for assessments and observation after experiencing flu-like symptoms, but he was apparently in a secure condition throughout. Urena stated that Clinton is expected to return house before Christmas, adding,” The leader is good”.
Health past
This latest admission is never Clinton’s first health-related event. Over the years, the former senator has faced some health challenges, including a double bypass surgery in 2004, procedure for a partially collapsed heart in 2005, position of two cardiovascular stents in 2010 and a six-day hospital stay in 2021 for a non-Covid-related clinical infection that spread to his bloodstream.
Clinton, who served as US senator from 1993 to 2001, has adopted a largely vegan meal in recent years, resulting in significant weight reduction and improved health.
Despite his health issues, Clinton has remained active in public career.
He campaigned for Vice President Kamala Harris ‘ presidential campaign earlier this year and spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
