A seller technology issue caused an hour-long ground stop of all American Airlines ‘ domestic flights, according to a notice posted on the website of the US aircraft regulator.
Many travelers reported on social advertising that they had their planes parked on runways at several airports before being directed again to terminals, according to Reuters.
The business responded to a lost customer on X by saying,” An estimated period has not been provided, but they’re trying to fix it in the shortest possible time.”
The company’s stock declined 3.8 % in pre-market buying. Without providing further information, the US Federal Aviation Administration’s website stated only that the business had requested a global ground quit.
As of 7: 30 am ET, the flight had never issued an official declaration on social programs, simply responding to personal opinions on X, Bluesky and Facebook.
One customer wrote,” Hey, @AmericanAir only inform us whether we should move home or not. Please don’t make us waited in the aircraft for days”.
More than 60 countries are served by American Airlines, which fly thousands of times per day to more than 350 sites.
This disturbance comes in response to new technical issues in the airline industry involving CrowdStrike program complications and Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform.
Two years earlier, Southwest Airlines experienced a devices loss during the vacation time, resulting in 16, 900 delayed planes and affecting 2 million travellers. The event led to a £140 million great, the largest legal penalty ever imposed for travel disturbance.
