Bangladesh is awaiting an answer from India regarding its demand to extradite former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, according to the foreign affairs department on Tuesday. A warning will be issued if no answer is received. Although Bangladesh and India’s extradition agreement does not describe a time-frame for actions, government spokesman Mohammad Rafiqul Alam said Dhaka is prepared to take the next step if India does not answer within a “reasonable” time frame.
