Following a contentious Instagram video where he made incendiary remarks about Donald Trump supporters, Leonard Serrato, a former associate director of fraternity and sorority life at the University of Oregon, has parted way with the school.

In a video posted in November and later obtained by The Daily Emerald, Serrato lashed out at Trump voters, saying,” I don’t care if we’ve been friends our whole life, you can actually get f— yourself if you voted for Donald Trump”. He went on to put,” If you are so unhappy about your shopping being expensive, find a better f—ing paying career. Would better in life. Find a f—ing training. Do everything because you are so foolish and I hope you will bounce off a bridge because you are so foolish.
The movie, which quickly went viral, drew common condemnation and prompted a sharp response from the university.
Operational left and analysis
Soon after the video’s release, the University of Oregon opened an investigation into the matter, placing Serrato on administrative leave. A school spokeswoman at the time called Serrato’s statements “abhorrent and not in line with our values or objective.”
In a statement, the school emphasized its dedication to fostering a respectful culture that accommodates different viewpoints, acknowledging the conflict between Serrato’s part in Student Life and the faculty’s values.
Resignation
A university spokesperson confirmed to KOIN that Serrato is no longer employed by the school on Monday. Serrato’s deliberately resigning or being terminated is unknown more.
