Russia’s aviation watchdog, Rosaviatsia on Thursday said that all the four Moscow airports, along with the airport in Kaluga, located 160km ( 100 miles ) southwest of Moscow, were temporarily closed.
The aviation authority stated in a statement to Reuters that “aircraft crews, air traffic controllers, and aircraft solutions are taking all necessary steps to ensure journey safety.”
The reason for the shutdown was never disclosed. More information awaited.
