Nick, the hip-hop megastar, has unwaveringly refuted claims that he and other entertainer Sean” Puffy” Comb sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in a lawsuit more than 20 years ago.
After initially being filed against Combs in October, the issue was modified on Sunday in U.S. District Court in New York to include Nick as a plaintiff. At a gathering following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, it claims they” took turns assaulting the slight.”
In a speech issued Sunday by Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s entertainment business, he assailed Tony Buzbee, the lawyer for the private accuser.
” I implore you to document a criminal complaint, hardly a legal one, because these allegations are so terrible in character”! the statement said. Would you not acknowledge that someone who commits a crime against a small should be kept in a locked-up?
If not for the seriousness of harm to children, the declaration described the lawsuit’s claims as “idiotic” and something that would be funny.
You have made a bad mistake in your assessment by assuming that all “celebrities are the same,” the statement said. ” I’m not from your planet. I’m a younger man who managed to escape the Brooklyn job. We don’t enjoy these types of sports. Our standards for integrity and conduct. We protect kids. …”
In September, federal prosecution charged Combs with crimes including criminal and sexual trafficking. He has pleaded not guilty.
Buzbee, a Texas-based lawyer, has filed numerous complaints against Combs since his imprisonment. The lawyer didn’t react to a post demand right away.
In November, an unidentified brand sued Buzbee in Los Angeles County Superior Court, accusing the counsel of threatening to “unleash completely fabricated and malicious allegations of sexual abuse” if the brand didn’t take part in a” personal mediation.” According to the petition, Buzbee claimed the actor raped “multiple adolescents, both male and female, who had been drugged at events hosted by Combs.”
On Sunday, Buzbee pushed up against Jay-Z on cultural multimedia:” Mr. Carter earlier denied being the one who sued me and my company. He filed his silly case under a pseudonym. … Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to drunk and torment me and this claimant. His actions have had the same effect. She is emboldened. I’m really proud of her handle”.
