With the Trump administration’s plans to arrest those who have been living in the United States illegally, Mexico is gearing up to welcome its own citizens. The New York Post information, Mexico’s authorities are planning to start 25 homes with more than 25, 000 rooms to house the returning residents.
According to Baja California Governor, each house can accommodate 500 people, and the doors will open on the day of President Trump’s inauguration in January. According to Border Report, it was Mariana del Pilar vila Olmeda who made the announcement on Monday.
Olmeda said she is taking President-elect Trump’s” hazard” to arrest illegal immigrants severely.
” What we do understand, throughout his plan, he threatened to do this, and since he was now president of the United States, we believe this time he may become stricter and tougher when it comes to arrests”, she said. ” We are attempting to prepare and get our workers.”
Olmeda clarified that just Mexican citizens will be able to stay in the tents, and no other immigrants will be.
No immigrants, but only Mexicans are allowed to enter these homes, according to Olmeda, adding that” these homes are being planned for those who are being repatriated who are coming from north to south.
The area north of San Diego, one of the busiest areas for illegal border bridges between Mexico and California, will be home to five of the 25 homes. Two other homes may be located north of El Centro, California, according to Border Report.
According to The Post, the strategy is for Mexican citizens to spend just a few days in the homes before returning to their homes. Each building did home men, women, unsupervised children or families.
President Trump praised Mexico’s newly elected president Claudia Sheinbaum for agreeing to” stop migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border,” according to President Trump.
Sheinbaum responded on X, saying,” In our conversation with President Trump, I explained the comprehensive plan that Mexico has adopted to solve the movement sensation, while respecting human right. Because of this, workers and caravans are helped before they cross the border. We make it clear that Mexico’s goal is not to” close territories but to build bridges between governments and individuals.”
The Trump presidency and Texas Governor Greg Abbott have plans to stop illegal immigration before attempted immigrant crossing the southern border. The Post reports that Abbott is putting billboards in Mexico informing people of the possible dangers that may be awaiting them while they travel, citing rape and kidnapping as two of the biggest threats.
