While Musk’s thoughts seemed diverse, netizens immediately pointed out a glaring disagreement. Musk earlier this year faced criticism for allegedly spreading prejudiced stereotypes about Haitian immigrants in Ohio, which was linked to former US president Donald Trump’s contentious battle rhetoric.
Musk’s visible opposition to his call for more immigration and his involvement in previous anti-immigrant stories has not gone unheard. After Musk was promoting racist material about Haitians in Springfield, one X customer wrote:” Wild to see this.

During Trump’s strategy, rumours spread online claiming that Haitian refugees in Springfield, Ohio, were harming and eating animals. Musk, at the time, shared jokes supporting the tale, including an AI-generated picture of Trump hugging a goose and baby, captioned:” Guard our birds and kittens in Ohio”!
A Creole neighbor allegedly found a missing cat being prepared for food, according to a Facebook post. The allegations were eventually expanded by Democratic leaders like Senator JD Vance and Senator Ted Cruz, which fueled anti-immigration views. Critics pointed out Musk’s part in pushing these tales, which some labeled as prejudiced.

With a number of Republican leaders at odds with Musk’s present opposition to legal immigration, His recent remarks about the need for highly qualified international staff reflect Silicon Valley’s growing expertise needed.
