President Biden has made a number of contentious selections that have drawn condemnation from both sides of the aisle as his time in office nears its conclusion. Popular opposition to his pardon of Hunter Biden has resulted in a record-setting number of clemency acts, including the commuter of the death sentences for 37 national death row prisoners. But is this just the tip of the iceberg, then?

Although Biden’s pardon of Hunter was widely anticipated by anyone who witnessed it, his new wave of mercy actions raises important questions.  ,
Former US President Bill Clinton infamously waited to problem 140 pardons and some commutations before approving his last day in office. Marc Rich, a criminal who had fled the United States to Switzerland while he was being tried, was one of the people to whom he granted mercy. Rich, who owed$ 48 million in taxes and faced 51 counts of tax scam, was pardoned for tax evasion. The Clinton Presidential Library’s pardon was commonly believed to have been secured by substantial funds.  ,
Susan McDougal, who had already served her word for her role in the Whitewater incident, was pardoned by Clinton as well. One of the most contentious movements was the transmission of Mel Reynolds, a former Democratic Congressman from Illinois, convicted of institution scams, 12 counts of sexual abuse of a baby, obstruction of justice, and call of child pornography. Also, Clinton granted mercy to his own brother, who had been convicted on medicine costs and served his full sentence.

Clinton waited until he was leaving the door to avoid having his pardons and commutations be content because many of them may become contentious. Binding is undoubtedly concerned about his reputation. He has consistently praised his track record of nominating various candidates for his government and the courts. He even claims an unmatched record for job creation, despite having fact checked over his exaggerated figures, which generally reflect jobs returning after the COVID shutdowns.  ,
How’s what worries me. Biden’s mercy list includes Thomas Sanders, who murdered 12-year-old Lexis Roberts and her family, Iouri Mikhel, who killed five refugees in ransom robberies, Kaboni Savage, a drug dealer responsible for 12 deaths, including four kids, and James Roane Jr., tied to 11 deaths. Additionally, he commuted Jorge Avila-Torrez’s dying statement after he raped and murdered two young girls before murdering a naval commander.
Clinton had the political acumen to supply his most contentious pardons for his last time in business. But, Biden appears to be either uninterested to the effects of his deeds in these last days or might be planning something even more ominous before he leaves office on January 20, 2025.
