This month, Sriram Krishnan was chosen by the Trump administration to serve as the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy’s Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence. At concern is Krishnan’s aid for H-1B. Many people are asking why Trump may hire the services of a man who supports bringing international technical staff into the nation after the subject has become popular on X.

Soon-to-be DOGE prerogative Vivek Ramaswamy chimed in and found himself immediately ratioed. Ramaswamy argued in a long sermon on X that the lack of indigenous talent in the technology sector is a result of the shift in focus from the pursuit of success to the pursuit of leisure. You can read the whole article below, but some shows included:
For far too much ( at least since the 1990s and likely longer ), has American culture venerated mediocrity over quality. That doesn’t began in school, it starts YOUNG.
, A society that celebrates the homecoming queen over the math tournament winner, or the boy over the valedictorian, does not produce the best engineers.
, A society that venerates Cory from” Boy Meets World”, or Zach &, Slater over Screech in” Saved by the Bell”, or’ Stefan’ over Steve Urkel in” Family Matters”, may never produce the best engineers.
, Most typical National parents look pessimistically at” those types of parents”. More typical British kids react with scorn to such” those kinds of kids” with disdain. If you grow up aspiring to civility, civility is what you will obtain.
The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born &, first-generation engineers over “native” Americans isn’t because of an innate American IQ deficit ( a lazy &, wrong explanation ). A crucial part of it comes down to the C-word: society. If, if, and if, hard questions demand difficult answers.

Ramaswamy did point out that this might be our” Sputnik time,” aside from the fact that he was dating himself and made all the links to music culture. He made reference to the time when America realized that the Soviets had placed a small satellite in orbit and that it needed to shift its strategy to prepare for the Russian invasion of area. According to Ramaswamy, this should be a clear contact for Americans to throw their hats on the grindstone and work in the STEM fields.
I have some mixed emotions about Ramaswamy’s statement. Nobody wants to see H-1B staff squander careers in America. It was a bad Disney secret a while back that the Mouse gave the boot to an overall stone of American workers with the state that they train their overseas ( and probably less expensive ) replacements if they wanted their compensation. And big technology equals major gifts.  ,
One may wonder if or how much Ramaswamy’s and Elon Musk’s efforts have benefitted from H-1B staff. No matter how happily they fly their Trump colors or use their MAGA caps, those who think the new administration should prioritize the job of keeping America’s jobs are well on their own. Conservatives were the ones who, as I heard, were in favor of free speech and lively discussion.

I do observe Ramaswamy’s level. I would often be greeted with job applications that were hardly legible in the time of hiring and firing individuals. And I hardly ever found anyone who could piece together a straightforward sentence if I could somehow interpret the hieroglyphics from high school. Everybody occasionally drops a comma or splits an gerund, but in some instances, I was unsure of what I was reading. Of course, in the age of 245, 368 women, the issue of pronouns has very little been shot below the hull. However, the speech had already fallen precariously.  ,
Education is an issue, but that is a row unto itself. If you’ve followed the news even if you’re a casual observer, you’re aware that in recent years there have been numerous stories about colleges, universities, and colleges that have become a breeding ground for physical selfishness and social justice.  ,
That has been done at the expense of teaching students to read, read, and learn simple mathematics. America has signaled the rise of female STEM professionals while largely instructing males to sand the road. Therefore, as boys surrender to Halo or Call of Duty knowing they won’t be accepted in the public or even the private sectors, girls are persuaded that they must survive long in a position of anger and despair with pointless degrees. Even the most determined of them may eventually give up:

I won’t be a family for many years, so I’ll leave it to the commenters to post on how the country is faring with children.  ,
Yet the government prefers monkey to market. Nancy Pelosi remarked to Rachel Maddow in 2010 that she should” Think of an economy where people could be an artist, a artist, or a writer without worrying about keeping their day jobs in order to have health insurance.” A small Huxley’s Drug with your caffeine, anyone?  ,
Well, the cost of healthcare is outrageous, and following your pleasure is a wonderful point, but speaking as a poet, PJ Media is not my only stream of income. And I can assure you that the number of aspiring musicians far outweighs the number of accomplished ones. Bliss just pays so far, even in the best of markets.
Well, social media and smartphones have caused the plague we have brought on ourselves. However, a lot of online pen has been poured onto that.  ,
Combine those things with a casing market that is out of reach and pricing that often hover near the Van Allen buckle, and you have a formula for a generation that has been created to accomplish little and accepts it.  ,

Conversely, when someone with the appropriate knowledge, years of experience, and a track record of supporting a bank’s vision is shown the wall because a Director recognizes low labor when he sees it, or, as is increasingly the case, they are the bad race, sex or age, who then do we responsible for the federal brain drain?
America does have qualified employees in the tech sector, but this is not always an accusation of Musk or Ramaswamy. But H-1B did never address America’s problems.  ,
