Mexico is preparing to reclaim its own citizens as a result of the Trump administration’s plans to arrest those who have been living illegally in the country. The New York Post information, Mexico’s authorities are planning to start 25 homes with more than 25, 000 rooms to house the returning residents.
According to Baja California Governor, each house can accommodate 500 individuals, and doors will open on January 1st for President Trump’s opening. According to Border Report, it was Mariana del Pilar vila Olmeda who made the announcement on Monday.
Olmeda said she is taking President-elect Trump’s” danger” to arrest illegal immigrants severely.
” What we do understand, throughout his plan, he threatened to do this, and since he was now president of the United States, we believe this time he may become stricter and tougher when it comes to arrests”, she said. ” We are working to get ready and get our workers.”
Olmeda clarified that simply Mexican citizens will be able to use the shelters because no other foreigners may be permitted to stay there.
No immigrants, but simply Mexicans are allowed to enter these homes, according to Olmeda, adding that their human rights may be respected.” These homes are being planned, but they are for those who are being repatriated who are coming from north to south,” Olmeda said.
The area north of San Diego, one of the busiest for illegal border bridges between Mexico and California, will host five of the 25 homes. Two different homes may be located north of El Centro, California, according to Border Report.
The Post reports that the program is for Hispanic residents to be kept in the homes for just a few weeks before being returned to their hometowns. Each building did home men, women, unsupervised children or families.
President Trump praised Claudia Sheinbaum, who was just elected president of Mexico, for agreeing to” stop migration through Mexico and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border.”
Sheinbaum responded on X, saying,” In our discussion with President Trump, I explained the comprehensive plan that Mexico has adopted to solve the movement happening while upholding human rights. Refugees and caravans are helped before they cross the border because of this. We reiterate Mexico’s commitment to building bridges between people and governments rather than territories.
Before attempted refugees cross the southern border, the Trump administration and Texas government Greg Abbott have plans to stop illegal immigration. The Post reports that Abbott is placing posters in Mexico highlighting the possible dangers that may be awaiting them on the journey and mentioning that murder and abductions are among the biggest threats.
