'What happened? Why am I here?': Survivors of deadly South Korean plane crash left in shock

One of South Korea’s most fatal aircraft accidents occurred on Sunday when a Jeju Air aircraft carrying 181 people crashed at Muan International Airport, leaving just two individuals. The two individuals, both flight servants, were rescued from the neck part of the plane who were left disoriented and shocked after the event.
Lee, 32, was one of the individuals and was rushed to Mokpo Korean Hospital while stationed at the back of the aircraft to help people during the landing.
Lee appeared disoriented, frequently asking,” What happened”? and” Why am I around”? more than describing his injury, as reported by the Asian Times.
Hospital officials speculated that Lee’s response reflects the mental effects of the collision. ” It seems he was in a near-panic status, perhaps worried about the health of the aircraft and people”, a medical expert shared. Lee was informed despite having a broken placed neck and head injury.
The following victim, a 25-year-old trip operator identified as Kwon, is receiving treatment at Mokpo Central Hospital. Kwon, too, has no memory of the accident and reported extreme pain in her mind, hip, and abdomen. Health staff revealed that she suffered a head incision, a shattered knee, and is undergoing testing for chest injury.
” While her life is not in threat, the pain and injury are important. We haven’t already gotten back to her about the accident,” according to a medical representative.
Studies show that the jet’s landing products failed to build, leading to the crash. The jet skidded off the airport, causing a huge fire when it collided with the concrete fence. The National Fire Agency’s first responders made the necessary repairs, recovering 179 casualties, and rescuing the two team members.
The flight, which had taken off from Bangkok, was attempting to land in Muan, a town located 290 kilometers ( 180 miles ) south of Seoul.
