H-1B is the card application that allows US businesses to employ foreigners. Both events gunned at each other on social media after this directly contradicted the America First plan.

Elon Musk therefore argued that H-1B needed to be changed because of the numerous anomalies that are currently occurring. Elon Musk said the program is currently broken, adding that it should increase the minimum wage considerably.
Elon Musk claimed that this could be fixed by increasing the minimum wage and adding a quarterly maintenance fee, which would have saved money for those working abroad.
