The software allows users to click a button that sends an alert to recently selected relatives and the closest Mexican embassy, according to Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Mexico’s director of international affairs.
Claudia Sheinbaum, the president of Mexico, just praised refugees who had left the country for the United States, apparently calling them “heroes” in part for returning$ 63 million to relatives next time, according to AP News.
While about 11 million Mexican reside in the country, including about 5 million without proper identification, some had to escape because of crime or lacked opportunities, and it’s not known how devoted or closely connected they are to the state, according to AP News.
