Health experts are concerned about the possibility of another crisis in the United States as a result of the rise in reported human cases of the animal fever. Health experts are currently urging the federal government to increase bird flu testing and approve vaccines to stop the deadly avian influenza A ( H5N1 ) virus from quickly spreading.

Dr. Dean Blumberg, an infectious disease professional, recently issued a warning on CNN, saying,” The virus may change and become more readily transmitted person-to-person, so the more this virus circulates, and particularly, co-circulates with mortal strains, that’s going to increase the odds of the virus evolving to more human-to-human transmission, and that of course, may indicate another pandemic”.

During a Sunday appearance on CNN, Dr. Deborah Birx, who formerly served as the White House’s COVID-19 answer representative during President-elect Donald Trump’s first term in office, suggested that the number of human cases of the bird flu disease could become higher than what has been reported.

” If you go to the CDC site, you can see that they’re monitoring more than 10, 000 exposure, but they’ve just tested 530″, Birx said. ” What does that imply? That means we’re not testing sufficiently, and we know from other infections that a lot of the unfold may be asymptomatic”.

If bird flu can “reassort” an adult and mix with a mortal flu strain, Birx warned that the United States might be in for a “bigger danger.”

Dr. Deborah Birx on animal virus:” We’re certainly testing sufficiently, and we know from different pathogens that a lot of the spread can be asymptomatic”.

Former Baltimore Health Commissioner Leana Wen also made a warning about the risk of the animal virus in the United States during a Sunday appearance on CBS News’ Face the Nation. Wen urged the federal government to start adding tests before the Biden-Harris administration’s end.

” We should have learned our lessons from COVID, that just because we aren’t testing, it doesn’t mean that the disease isn’t it”, Wen said. Simply put, it implies that we aren’t looking for it. We should be having fast testing, house testing available to all plantation workers, to their people”.

We also urged the Biden-Harris leadership to immediately grant the Food and Drug Administration’s request to grant the bird flu vaccine to “vulnerable people” protection.

If there are people who take an anti-vaccine position, the Trump presidency isn’t sure what they will do with bird flu. If they don’t want to know how many bird virus is out there, had they delay the release of vaccine license? Wen added. ” May they withhold tests? I mean, that’s a chance, and I think the Biden administration, in the remaining days, may find tests and vaccines widely available so that at least it empowers state and local health authorities and professionals to do the right item for their people”.

Dr. Leana Wen on bird flu:

We don’t know what the Trump administration will do in relation to bird flu, but they could get this approved right away and also get the vaccine out to farm workers and vulnerable people.
