New Jersey  , Gov.  , Phil Murphy , on Monday reiterated that strange aircraft observations don’t present a common threat, after 21 politicians and other elected authorities called for more activity.
” This is something we’re taking dangerous seriously”, he said at an unrelated bill-signing function in , Princeton. ” I don’t blame folks for being irritated”.
His reply came after politicians and politicians in , New Jersey  , demanded a more “proactive” reaction from Murphy and provincial authorities as robots continued to clutter the Garden State’s stars.
” Either higher level representatives know what’s going on and are no concerned, or they are negligent for , not apprehending and identifying one of these robots”, the nearly two dozen , Morris County , politicians told Murphy in a letter sent this weekend, obtained by the Bergen Record. ” We clearly request a strategic approach get taken on the half of the people of , New Jersey  , and , Morris County. These agencies need to pursue them, find out where they are going, and who owns and runs them, because these drones have to land at some point there.
Republican state Sen.  , Doug Steinhardt , on Friday called for a nonpartisan board to look into the issue.
Unknown drones have a recurring problem in places of crucial military and system safety, over private homes, in the midst of the night and at all hours of the day, he said in a statement. ” The , imperfect solutions and deceptive assurances , given by the government and others in authority roles have raised more concerns than they have answered”.
Assembly members , John DiMaio , and , Erik Peterson , echoed the views in their own text to Murphy.
The robots were first spotted in mid-November hovering over late- and northern , New Jersey, often in regions as big as eight. The majority of them are larger than the ones that beginners typically use. They have been causing confusion for their proximity to a martial basic and , President-Elect Donald Trump ‘s , Bedminster , golf course. They may be the same robots that , blocked a pilot aircraft from rescuing , people injured in a car accident only before , Thanksgiving. The , FBI , and other organizations are investigating.
Murphy had said Friday that his business was “actively monitoring the situation” in conjunction with national and law enforcement officials, but that didn’t reduce it for creeped-out components.
The mayors wrote in their email that” the lack of information and quality regarding these operations has caused worry and frustration among our constituents.”” While the benefits of drone technology are widely recognized when used properly and honestly. ” Despite inquiries made to relevant authorities, we have yet to receive satisfactory answers about the purpose, operators, or safety protocols governing these flights”.
