Harry Chandler, a Navy nurse who rescued injured seamen during the attack on Pearl Harbor, US, in 1941, has died at the age of 103.
He passed away on Monday at a top living facility in Tequesta, US state of Florida, according to Ron Mahaffee, the father of his daughter, Kelli Fahey. Although his time was even mentioned as a aspect, Chandler had congestive heart failure.
He is survived by one child, nine children, 17 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

In 2023, Chandler made a visit to Pearl Harbor to commemorate the 82nd celebration of the invasion. ” I look out there, and I can still see what’s going on. I can still see what was happening”, he said. He urged Americans to “be ready”, adding,” We may have known that was going to occur. The intellect has to be better”.
After the battle, Chandler worked as an upholsterer and artists before retiring as a top commander in 1981. Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, he spent many of his life in South Hadley, Massachusetts, and afterward split his time between Massachusetts and Florida.
During his next relationship to Anna Chandler, who passed away in 2004, Chandler had one natural daughter and adopted two sons.
