In another loss for Gavin Newsom’s Commie Paradise, a dozen eggs have just hit a cost of almost$ 9.
Fox Business attributed an admitted bird flu pandemic to which it has been used as an justification to kill millions of animals over the past few years. Democrats ‘ bad economic policies no uncertainty also contribute to higher rates, as they have across America under the Biden-Harris management. In truth, as of Nov. 2023, U. S. chicken costs had tripled since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office. Rates are set to rise again as of the close of 2024, most specially, it appears, in Commiefornia.

A remarkable 90 million birds were killed in connection with bird flu in 48 states in May, according to Smithsonian Magazine (either by the influenza or by being killed en masse presumably to prevent the disease ). It is unclear exactly how many have been killed since, but Dr. Kat Lindley, a doctor and president of Global Health Project, stated on Dec. 31 that PCR testing for bird virus is uncertain.
While communist California is paying astronomical prices, it should be noted that nearly every state in the Union has killed birds. Yes, eggs have substantially increased in price since Biden’s time in America and are on the rise afterwards, but California is absurd. More than just avian flu is at play around.
From Fox Business:
In its overview of egg markets last week, the U. S. Department of Agriculture ( USDA ) said the California benchmark for large shell eggs rose$ 0.78 to$ 8.97 per dozen, due to a reduction in supply.
These prices can be seen when shopping online for eggs from supermarkets across the state. For example, Walmart in Chico on Tuesday night listed an 18-count carton of Great Value Cage-Free Large White Eggs for$ 9.52, while a dozen of Great Value eggs of the same type were listed at$ 7.22.
At Safeway in the same area, an 18-count bottle of Lucerne Farms Eggs Cage-Free Big White Eggs was listed for$ 12.99, though a few was not listed for sale on the company’s website.

The USDA, which Fox quoted, also attributed avian flu, stated that “demand for shell eggs posted a slight increase into the final two weeks of the year, supported by concerns over tight supplies due to persistent outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza ( HPAI ) in layer flocks.”

The USDA added,” These flock costs, coming at a critical need place, have driven wholesale pricing past the record rates set in December 2022 when HAPI occurrences had a similar impact on the market” . ,
U. S. egg production dropped by 4 % in November. Food prices went up 0.5 % that same quarter, with chicken prices increasing most of all, according to Fox Business.
Chicken prices have been rising since 2023, according to Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute market manager Kevin Bergquist, who attributed this to a combination of seasonal price increases over the holidays and a decline in egg supplies as a result of bird flu.
Bergquist stated that 2024 prices “generally” remained higher than 2023 prices and that ( contrary to Democrat propaganda ) they “often exceeded egg prices from 2022, which was when HPAI]avian flu] really caught the egg market”.
Not just because of the dark change, but more because California is @KamalaHarris HOME STATE, @TheDemocrats leaders should be deeply concerned about this California political map. Previous AG &, past U. S. Senator no less!

Whatever the cause, whether it be animal virus or other factors, the truth is that Californians are looking at unaffordable charges for eggs and other basic foods items heading into the new year.
