Elon Musk has launched a scathing attack on legacy media over their coverage of the Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day. Musk accused outlets of spreading misinformation, misleading audiences into believing the Cybertruck malfunctioned and exploded. He also called the Associated Press (AP) “Associated Propaganda.”
The blast, which involved fireworks, fuel tanks, trekking fuel, and a blast program, was confirmed to be a good terrorist attack. The Cybertruck, according to Musk, contained the blast and directed the fire upward, sparing the hotel industry’s glass doors from harm. However, many media reports framed the affair as a solution failure, sparking anger among Musk’s fans.
One user on X ( formerly Twitter ) wrote,” Media headlines are misleading audiences, suggesting the Cybertruck caught fire or exploded due to a malfunction. In reality, munitions were placed in the rear and purposefully detonated, most likely as a result of a terrorist attack. Musk replied,” You don’t love the legacy media enough”.
Another person suggested Musk sue sources for libel, saying,” These articles are sabotaging Tesla’s company by making people think it caught on fire. There’s approximately 1 Jaguar blaze for every 130 million kilometers traveled. Different cars have 1 every 18 million mls”. Musk responded,” Sometimes it is time to accomplish so”.
Musk’s rivalry with AP
The Associated Press was exclusively targeted by Mask, who claimed the media outlet was biased in its coverage of the Cybertruck affair. He mocked AP’s credibility, calling it “Associated Propaganda,” amplifying criticism of the agency’s headline choices and editorial tone.
Tesla supporters speak up.
Followers on X have been swift to support Tesla and its cars, pointing out the Cybertruck’s ability to withstand quite a strong explosion. ” The Cybertruck’s construction quality prevented yet greater damage. This is a testament to its style, hardly a failure”, one user posted.
Germany vehicle attack
Musk’s condemnation of tradition advertising isn’t new. The AP faced criticism for a title that read,” A vehicles has driven into a group of people at a Christmas market in Germany,” in a past event there. As images later revealed that the Royal national behind the wheel was detained at the scene, critics accused the firm of downplaying the part of the driver. Although this controversy is related to the Cybertruck incident, Musk’s wider criticism of biased and false journalism comes to mind.
