Some Democrats at the national levels appear to be aware that their extreme views on’transgender right ‘ have had a significant impact on them because they have supported them over the years. But Fairfax County’s public school officials, including Superintendent Michelle Reid and the state’s 12 Democrat-endorsed school board members, are continuing their efforts to force sex philosophy education at increasingly earlier ages. In 2022, Fairfax County Public Schools, one of the highest-ranked regions in the United States, and other similar districts show the continuing importance of local engagement and litigation to fight the transgender campaigner agenda in our public schools.
The Majority of Americans Hold Common-Sense Views
According to view voting, the majority of Americans object to minor transgender surgeries and add that their gender is influenced by sex at birth. In fact, the American government is eagerly anticipating the Supreme Court’s decision in United States v. Skrmetti, a determination likely to support Tennessee’s state laws banning transgender treatments for minors.
Yet some left-leaning observers concur that the extreme views that the Democratic leaders have taken on trans ideology contributed to the party’s disastrous election deficits in November.
However, at the express level, Gov. Glenn Youngkin, R–Va., recognized the Virginia government’s dissatisfaction with problems such as shared-sex toilet use and the lack of parental alert regarding babies changing their “gender names” at college. He therefore revised the country’s design policies governing common knowledge, which were meant to be implemented in Virginia’s schools in the 2023-24 academic year.
Communist school regions ignore the law
But communist school regions exist in their own bubbles, apparently oblivious to state laws, and sometimes even the Constitution. In a letter to the group dated Aug. 15, 2023, Superintendent Reid announced that Fairfax County Public Schools, the largest city in Virginia ( and eighth largest in the country ), did not abide by Youngkin’s design plans. Otherwise, students ‘ social “gender moves” continue to occur in secret from their families, preferred pronouns are mandated under penalty of suspension, and bath and locker room use in Fairfax County’s public institutions continues to be based on students ‘ perceived “gender” more than sex.
Despite Reid’s attempts to ignore the law, America First Legal is currently litigating a case against Fairfax County Public Schools ‘ policies regarding mandated pronouns and bathroom use based on a student’s self-proclaimed “gender” rather than sex ( full disclosure: this author is involved in said case ).
Meanwhile, the district’s school board members not only support Reid’s transgender activist position but continue to pass initiatives that go even further. Given that one of them swore his oath of office not on religious texts but rather on pornographic and pedophiliac books, this isn’t particularly surprising.
Selecting Ideologically Homogeneous” Advisory” Committees
These elected officials join the school board’s Family Life Education Curriculum Advisory Committee ( FLECAC ) to promote this agenda in part because they have already appointed known transgender activists. Candidates for this committee have been turned down by conservatives. In the past, a member was even expelled from the committee for her opposing viewpoint. In addition, the extremists on FLECAC advise board members to adopt laws that are against the wishes of parents and the interests of the taxpayer. School board members typically cast ballots in favor of the recommendations of this committee while applauding their “expertise”
By educating boys and girls together on subjects that adult men and women blushed to discuss in shared company, one of FLECAC’s recent recommendations was to forge shared-sex spaces for sex education in elementary schools. The rationale for such a measure remains questionable. Not surprisingly, 84 percent of the district’s survey respondents objected to the radical initiative. At a work session after these survey results were made public, Reid replied,” Honestly, the majority doesn’t always dictate, right”?
Reid uttered something that many of us are already aware of. The district’s elected school board members and administrators disregard survey findings because they disagree with their predetermined beliefs and political preferences.
Attempts to indoctrinate the young
In June 2024, following FLECAC’s recommendations, the school board unanimously passed “gender identity education” for seventh grade students, despite significant parental objections.
The appointed members of FLECAC, an activist committee with the purported goal of indoctrinating our young children in transgender ideology, are simply not old enough for them. Conversations have centered on promoting “gender identity” lessons in early elementary school at the last three FLECAC meetings, which take place monthly and are notable for public observation. Some members have urged that the lessons start in the first grade, while others have criticized the “problem” of parental opposition and suggested that they should instead suggest that the lessons start in the third grade.
If recent history serves as an indicator, school board members are likely to wait until late June or July 2025, when families have left the area for summer vacations and are the least likely to be paying attention to local school board activism, to vote unanimously in favor of them when the committee releases its annual recommendations this spring.
The same kind of extremists who shrewdled the Democrat Party at the national level are those who promote transgender ideology indoctrination at early stages in public schools and stifle Fairfax County’s once-leader district. Additionally, these kinds of extremists are present in public school districts throughout the nation.
