A report based on a Virginia incident that occurred in December, emerged as the country’s largest media outlet was reporting two terror attacks that occurred in New Orleans and Las Vegas monday. Agents located Brad Spafford, a 36-year-old tenant of Isle of Wight County, at what they call the largest stockpile of “finished violent devices” in the agency’s history, according to the FBI. &nbsp,

Spafford appears to have been on their radar for some time. In 2023, a companion of his reached out to government, stating that he had “disfigured his hands in 2021 while working with bombs”. At the time, he reportedly lost three of his hands. According to Newsweek,” The informant even reported that Spafford had reportedly expressed support for social killings and was saving weapons and arms.” Following the failed assassination attempt on President-elect Donald Trump in July, it was reported that he told the accomplice he’ hoped the gunman doesn’t lose Kamala] Harris].'” Additionally, he reportedly told a roommate that “missing kids in the information had been trained as university guns by the federal government.” He reportedly used Joe Biden photos as specific process. &nbsp,

On one count of possessing an illegitimate unlicensed short-barrel weapons, the FBI detained Spafford on December 17. The company obtained a seek warrant for his 20-acre land, employing bomb technicians to assist. In his car, along with his wife and two children, were both discovered with weapons and materials for making bombs. He even had a coat with weapons preloaded. Hexamethylene triperoxide diamine ( HMTD), a “highly sensitive explosive compound that is of interest to terrorists,” was also discovered by authorities, according to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence ( DNI). According to Newsweek, the HMTD was discovered in a freezer-sized pot next to meals. &nbsp,

The FBI claimed that some of the bombs were too dangerous to move, but technicians detonated them on the spot. The FBI found 150 tube bombs in full. The Joint Terrorism Task Force at the organization is looking into whether he performed by himself or has connections to criminal organizations. &nbsp,

Although a federal judge granted him permission to live with his family while he is under house arrest, prosecutors are trying to keep him in prison, alleging that he poses a greater risk and that he could face additional charges in the future. When Spafford is scheduled for a preliminary reading on Friday, these accusations may start to surface. His attorneys contend that there is no proof that he really threatened people, and they think he should be freed. Additionally, they assert that the First Amendment protects his comments about political assassinations. &nbsp,

The state contends that Mr. Spafford may be detained because he poses a threat to the neighborhood despite the fact that the government has been closely monitoring Mr. Spafford for about two years using a close friend and confidant of Mr. Spafford. There is no proof or argument that Mr. Spafford allegedly carried out any violent acts during that time,” his attorneys wrote in a processing earlier this week. &nbsp,
