Germany: Nearly 190 members of far-right groups wanted

According to media reports RND on Thursday, Germany’s interior ministry had excellent arrest warrants for 189 suspects deemed to be members of far-right organizations that do not support the current European state.
Authorities said the suspects were part of” Reichsbürger” ( “citizens of the Reich” ) or” Selbstverwalter” ( “self-administrators” ) groups, which claim either to live in the defunct German Empire, or on soil they have unilaterally declared to be independent within Germany.
The communist Left Party’s request for information led to the publication of the figure on September 30, 2024.
Why are those defendants wanted?
In full, 254 arrest warrants were empty against such offenders, the department said, with some facing more than one permit.
43 people are wanted for at least one harsh violence, and three are accused of a number of violent acts.
According to the government, 20 of the permits were for politically motivated violent crimes, and 77 were for politically motivated non-violent offences like fraud, force, and inciting racial crime.
The remaining warrants were described as being” the place of common crime without political inspiration.”
More than 20 of the people sought by German officials are reportedly residing abroad, some of whom have been uncovered for centuries.
Between the end of March and September last year, 93 fresh warrants of this kind were issued against either” Reichsbürger” or” Selbstverwalter”, the data showed.
What are Reichsbürger and Selbstverwalter?
The current German state’s legitimacy and the former German Empire’s demise are generally refuted by” Reichsbürger.”
