Eleven people were injured when a small airplane crashed through the top of a business building in Fullerton, Southern California, on Thursday evening, officials said.
The accident occurred at 2: 09 am, according to Kristy Wells, a spokesperson for the Fullerton Police Department. Emergency personnel, including officers and fire personnel, immediately responded to the field, extinguishing the incident and transporting local businesses.
Wells noted that it was unclear what kind of aeroplane was involved and whether the injured were lying on the ground or in the air.
White dust was seen rising from the roof of the broken building in a KABC video that was broadcast on KABC. The fall site is close to the airport and runway-equipped Fullerton Municipal Airport. The area is surrounded by a mix of personal neighborhoods, industrial warehouses, and a Metro local train collection.
Fullerton, a town of roughly 140, 000 people, lies 25 miles east of Los Angeles and about 6 km from Disneyland. Authorities are investigating the event.
