According to police reports made public on Monday, a British person and her West African girlfriend were discovered dead in a holiday villa in Vietnam on December 26.
A 33-year-old British national, Greta Marie Otteson, was discovered dead on a bed in a first-floor room in Hoi An, Vietnam, at 11: 18 local time ( 04: 18 GMT ) while her fiance Els Arno Quinton, 36, was found dead in the separate room.
The American person’s family has been confirmed by the UK Foreign Office’s contacts with local authorities, according to BBC.
The pair, who worked as a social media manager and musician/livestreamer both, had been residing at the Hoa Chuong mansion in the Cam Thanh village since the preceding summers. On December 11, Red Eye Studios announced their engagement statement on Instagram.
First police searches revealed no signs of forced admittance into the areas or of physical stress on the bodies. Numerous empty wine bottles are reported to be present at the location, according to reports from the local press.
Regulators are working to determine the cause of their deaths as the investigation continues. A spokesperson for the UK Foreign Office stated that the country is in contact with the local government and are supporting the family of a European person who passed away in Vietnam.
