Elon Musk sent a team to Las Vegas after the Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump International Hotel to help investigators extract data and video from the charred remains of the car. Elon Musk also made sure that footage from Tesla’s charging station that trackers Colorado’s Matthew Livelsberger reached the investigators. As Las Vegas sheriff Kevin McMahill praised Musk for his assistance in the case which was initially thought to be a terror attack, it is not yet known whether Musk voluntarily helped the investigation or if the law enforcement reached out to him.
According to Brett Schreiber, a personal injury and wrongful death lawyer, Tesla is no known for sharing its statistics, according to the Washington Post. According to another attorney, Tesla collects information about how quickly its vehicles move, but it’s very hard to do so. And when they do, they simply share what they want to.
Both Trump and Musk dragged in Livelsberger’s blast
Donald Trump and Elon Musk were dragged to the blast that followed his New Year’s Day death by 37-year-old military part Matthew Livelsberger, either consciously or unconsciously. In front of the Trump International Hotel, Livelsberger rented a Tesla Cybertruck and made the decision to blow it up. Before the blast, he shot himself in the brain.
The investigators focused on this connection, but as the investigation progresses, the bomber’s motivation appears to have been a personal crisis and perhaps had nothing to do with Trump or Musk.
Elon Musk criticized media for calling the blast a “Cybertruck blast,” which would mean that the car exploded on its own. After the blast, Elon Musk claimed the “evil knuckleheads” had chosen the wrong vehicle for a “terrorist strike. He claimed in a after release that the tires were also inflated and that the battery pack never caught fire. ” Once we get this Cybertruck again to Tesla, we’ll brown out the scars and get it back on the road”, he posted.
The vehicle’s roof remained mostly intact, and no one else died besides the fighter who shot himself in the mind. Yet the glass doors to the Trump Tower’s glass doors remain intact, but this could also be attributed to the low-grade explosives, such as fireworks and oil canisters.
Livelsberg’s attraction for Cybertruck
It appears that Livelsberg was rather in awe of the Cybertruck from the word communications he and his ex-girlfriend exchanged times before he killed himself and blew up the vehicle. ” I rented a Tesla Cybertruck. It’s the s**t”, he wrote. ” I feel like Batman or halo”, he wrote about his expertise driving the Cybertruck.
