Despite criticism from President-elect Donald Trump on Friday, President-elect Joe Biden didn’t retract his flag order honoring the later President Jimmy Carter.
In accordance with norms set during the Eisenhower management, Biden immediately decreed that national flags be lowered to half-staff for 30 days after Carter’s passing on December 29. During Trump’s inauguration on January 20th, national flags would sail at half-staff due to that 30-day glass.

Trump said on Truth Social that” the Democrats are all’giddy’ about our beautiful American Flag possibly being at half pole’ during my Opening, using the purchase as a dig at his second term.”

During the Friday presentation, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned about Trump’s criticism and whether Biden had regard revoking his order.
Jean-Pierre responded with a simple” No”.
