The expanded farewell for Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States and a world altruistic, began Saturday in Georgia.
From his humble roots in Plains to his remarkable achievements as president and past, Carter’s flag-draped tomb blazed the course of his life.
The six-day condition funeral combines a former president’s official honors with individual memories. Carter passed away on December 29, at the age of 100, the longest-lived US president in history.

At the Carter homestead, National Park Service rangers stood in development as the old homestead bell rang 39 periods, honouring Carter’s position as the 39th leader.
