Elon Musk’s most recent condemnation of Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s role in addressing baby grooming scandals was “misjudged and truly misinformed,” according to a senior American government minister.
In a number of posts on his social media platform X, Musk claimed that Starmer had lied about bringing “rape gangs” to justice while serving as Director of Public Prosecutions ( DPP ) from 2008 to 2013.
Wes Streeting, the health minister, responded to Musk’s claims in a Friday meeting with ITV News.
” Some of the criticisms that Elon Musk has made, I think, are misjudged and truly misinformed”, Streeting said, emphasising the administration’s commitment to tackling child sexual abuse. He continued,” We’re willing to work with Elon Musk, who I believe has a significant role to play with his social media platform to support us and other places… to handle this serious matter,” with an olive tree.
Focus on infant sexual abuse
In cities like Rochdale, Rotherham, and Oldham, where widespread failings by local authorities led to widespread abuse of vulnerable ladies going unchecked, there are historical examples of child exploitation cases. There was no evidence of a cover-up in Oldham despite the serious breaches in supporting measures discovered in a 2022 investigation.
No official comments have shown him to have obstructed trials because of concerns of Islamophobia, despite Musk’s say that Starmer played a part in preventing justice. The controversies, involving perpetrators mostly of North Eastern Muslim descent and bright woman victims, remain a battleground for far-right groups, with Musk’s posts boosting controversial narratives.
Musk’s net remark
Musk’s notes extended beyond the cleaning circumstances. He argued that Jess Phillips, the secretary for the prevention of violence against women and girls, “deserves to be in jail” for supporting the questionable far-right find Tommy Robinson, who is currently in jail for contempt of court. Robinson’s transfer was demanded by Musk, who claimed he was being held in prison” for telling the truth.”
Is even targeted Starmer’s authorities, accusing it of involvement and calling for fresh elections despite the Labour Party’s landslide defeat in July 2024.
Musk’s remarks have fueled discussions about his growing impact in British politics. In European political discourse, Musk has changed from a” critic to a power person,” according to political scientist Patrick Maguire. He has just endorsed Nigel Farage’s Reform UK gathering and been accused of supporting far-right actions in Europe.
