The new Republican-controlled 119th House of Representatives, convened Friday, has previously quickly tracked a bill that would ban gentlemen in children’s activities.
The act was moved forward as part of the 119th rules bundle, which allowed 12 costs “on a glide path to a vote on the House floor without allowing for sessions or amendments, by limiting conversation, and waiving all the other room rules”, GovTrack reported.
The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act was reintroduced Friday by U. S. Rep. Greg Steube, a Florida Republican, along with 56 Democrat cosponsors.
In a media release from Steube says,” This regulations gives women and girls a fair playing area in competitive sports by ensuring that school athletics adhere to the Title IX reputation of a person’s biological science and genetics at birth.”
A similar act has already been introduced half in the House in the previous two classes, so it was probably allowed to get fast tracked.
The media transfer says:
The Republican Conference listed the promotion of children’s activities in the 118th Congress and approved Rep. Steube’s costs by a ballot of 219-203, with no one Democrat supporting either candidate. The Senate companion, introduced by U. S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala. ) was never brought to the floor under the Democrat Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer.
In the 117th Congress, Rep. Steube and former Republican Study Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind. ) The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act plea received 187 names when it was filed for release.
The Independent Women’s Forum reward the fresh act on Friday, thanking Republicans for striving to protect people on” time one of this new Congress.”
You are letting all the female players and their loved ones know that someday support will be on the method. The Biden-Harris management constantly put women’s interests next. Women and girls were instructed to stand up and maintain silence while men exploited their prospects. This tragedy ends in 2025,” said Carrie Lukas, chairman of Independent Women’s Forum, in a media release.
