After a customer accused the flight attendant of racism for wearing a cantaloupe pin, which is seen as a sign of Arab solidarity, a Hebrew passenger and a trip attendant got into a heated argument on an American Airlines plane.
The incident took place on a Miami-bound aircraft and was captured by the customer, who can be seen confronting the journey operator. He shouts,” You support violence, you’re antisemitic”, and inquiries why he wasn’t allowed to leave the aircraft, accusing the flight staff of treating him separately because of his Jewish history.
The flight operator, along with a partner, tells the guy he never video them, citing US aircraft regulations. The rider was also reportedly accused of touching the flight staff, which he denied.
Authorities were called to the scene after the customer received an American Airlines warning that he couldn’t leave until he deleted the videos. However, the rider promises that he was the one who called the regulators. ” After soldiers came, they told them I didn’t break any laws and they are the people breaking the law”, he said. The officers later escorted him off the plane, the New York Post reported.
The airport is investigating the affair, which took place last year. Unauthorized pins that are not included in the official standard are prohibited by American Airlines. The plan allows employees to wear company-issued wires for anniversaries, awards, military assistance, and pins that represent church, race, or LGBTQ pride.
Since the October 7 Hamas assault on Israel, conflicts have remained higher worldwide, especially with the US providing military aid to Israel. The continuous Israel-Gaza issue has resulted in the deaths of over 45, 000 Palestinians, according to health department of Gaza.
