Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, responded to a resurfaced popular post on social media platform X on Monday, saying,” You have hand guns, we have genuine guns. The statement made reference to a warning the London Police commander issued last year to stop punishing Americans for their website remarks about protests in the UK.
Through Sky News, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley issued a harsh warning:” We will put the full force of the law at individuals. And we will go after you whether you’re in this region committing crimes online from additional inland or on the roads.
The remarks were first made in August of last year, following a wave of protests in the United Kingdom.
The turmoil was brought on by fabricated online rumours that claimed an asylum seeker was responsible for a large-scale murdering that resulted in the death of three girls and the injury of several others at a Taylor Swift-themed party event.
The accused, identified as an 18-year-old American regional with Rwandan history, was arrested for the murders. The event led to violent demonstrations, reflecting underlying conflicts regarding emigration levels in Britain.
Social media platforms saw a lot of violent conflicts between anti-immigration activists and their allies. The New York Post reported that the government urged people to be aware that spreading like information might lead to legitimate issues.
When a Sky News reporter asked Commissioner Rowley for clarity on his alert, pointing out that prominent figures were “whipping up hatred,” especially mentioning” the likes of Elon Musk.”

He added that” all of those crimes are in play if individuals are provoking hatred and violence on the roads, and we will come after those folks simply as we will actually fight the criminals and yobs who are causing the problems for areas.”
