Carter’s figure was flown from his local state of Georgia to Washington, D. C., on Tuesday after a meeting. He will be the 13th leader to receive the recognition in his condition in the Capitol Rotunda.
Carter died on Dec. 29, 2024, at age 100. From 1977 to 1981, he was the 39th president of the United States.
