A moment after a New York judge denied his request to postpone punishment for his calm money case, President-elect Donald Trump is holding a press event at his Mar-a-Lago beach in Florida.
At 11 a.m., Trump is scheduled to start speaking.

The news event also comes a time after Congress certified his 2024 election win, setting the stage for his inauguration on Jan. 20 in Washington. The punishment in Trump’s calm money event is scheduled for Friday, 10 weeks before his swearing-in service.
He is scheduled to travel to Washington on Thursday for the death of former leader Jimmy Carter.
