Elon Musk belittled Justin Trudeau by calling him a “girl” and dismissing his power with the punch, “You’re not the government of Canada again,” in a verbal battle of words on Wednesday. Following Trudeau’s public rejection of Donald Trump’s controversial idea that the United States might conquer Canada, this came after Trudeau made a public density.
Trudeau, who announced his resignation as Prime Minister earlier this month amid plummeting reputation, strongly rebuffed Trump’s plan. ” There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States”, Trudeau declared in a fiery post on X ( formerly Twitter ), emphasizing the mutual benefits of Canada-US trade and security partnerships.
Musk, never one to keep up, mocked Trudeau’s statement.“Girl, you’re not the governor of Canada anymore, so doesn’t matter what you say,” the Tesla CEO retorted, triggering an avalanche of reactions on social media.
However, Trump doubled down on his controversial comment, saying at Mar-a-Lago that Canada joining the US would be” something truly special”. The President-elect dismissed the idea of military force, saying,” No, economic force”, while hinting at a 25 % tariff on Canadian imports as leverage. Trump has consistently referred to Trudeau as the “governor of Canada” and called the border between Canada and the US an “artificially drawn line” on numerous occasions.
In another X article, Musk praised the serious social transitions of 2025 and praised what he called the “great men’s return.” Highlighting Trudeau’s withdrawal, he wrote,” Trump won. Trudeau resigned. Masculinity is again. Great people are rising. And just in time. We’re going to have them”.
In light of a struggling business and depressing approval scores, Trudeau’s decision to step down comes as a result of growing opposition within his own Liberal Party. By October 20, polls predict a landslide win for the Republicans, a significant social change in the Great White North.
