Donald Trump, the president-elect, took to Truth Social on Wednesday to voice his frustration over California’s latest state of emergency and claim that Joe Biden has given him the time to deal with the state’s ongoing wildfire crisis and other emergencies.
In a blog, Trump wrote:” NO WATER IN THE FIRE Sprinklers, NO MONEY IN FEMA. JOE BIDEN IS LEAVING ME ABOUT THIS. THANKS JOE”!
California has become a dangerous state, with rescuers facing severe water shortages as wildfires continue to spread throughout the position. Fire extinguishers have run clean across the Pacific Palisades and different locations, making it difficult for emergency personnel to contain the flames. In some places, water supplies have dwindled, and force in tubes has dropped, leaving paramedics eager for resources.
California is ill-prepared to deal with the current wildfire situation, leaving the Federal Emergency Management Agency ( FEMA ), a significant US government agency responsible for disaster response and recovery, with allegedly been left without sufficient funds to prepare for future crises. Trump claims that this will prevent him from receiving the necessary financial help when he is formally proclaimed president on January 20.
Earlier, Trump had also slammed California Governor Gavin Newsom, pointing fingers at the country’s lack of preparation for such catastrophe.
He wrote:” As of right now, Gavin Newscum and his Los Angeles staff have contained absolutely none of the fire.” In a blog on Truth Social, he wrote:” As of right now, the fireplace has been contained to zero cent.” Even worse is the burn rate than it was last evening. This is not authorities. I didn’t wait until January 20th”!
As fire burn, the liquid demand has far exceeded what the local municipal techniques can supply, causing a growing public concern about the ability to fight the flames properly. To ensure there is enough water for firefighters and disaster response efforts, state officials have been urging people to save it. ” We’re fighting a fire with industrial liquid systems, and that is really challenging”, said Janisse Quiñones, main architect for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
