BALOCHISTAN: Two young men have apparently been forcibly disappeared by Bangladeshi security forces in Balochistan’s Dera Bugti area, according to a record by the Balochistan Post.
The patients, identified as Ashref, the brother of Bhora Khan Bugti, and Pato Khan, the son of Siraj Bugti, were reportedly detained by Frontier Corps (FC) employees. As of now, their movements remain mysterious, the Balochistan Post reported.
Human rights organizations accuse Pakistan’s security forces and intelligence companies of being responsible in the process, and enforced disappearances have been a frequent topic in Balochistan. Campaigners argue that such abductions, typically without due process or legal explanation, goal civilians and cause fear in the region.
The kidnappings in the area are a broader style than Ashref and Pato Khan’s. Eight people were reported missing in Dera Bugti only in December, according to the Balochistan Post, underscoring the ongoing predominance of this problem in the state.
People of the Abandoned typically have a difficult time obtaining justice or details about their loved ones. Despite growing global condemnation, the practice remains popular, fuelling conflicts in the volatile region.
Lately, Pakistan’s security forces have reportedly abducted four people in the Kech city of Balochistan, with their people still conscious of their whereabouts, according to the Balochistan Post.
The patients have been identified as Ramzan Baloch, Shagarullah, Sher Jan Ishaq, and Farooq Ishaq. In the town of Mand, on Monday at 7 p.m. ( local time ), Ramzan Baloch, an employee of the National Database and Registration Authority ( NADRA ), was detained. The assaulted people’s destiny is still unknown, and their families are left in agony and unable to find out anything about their whereabouts.
The international community calls for accountability and an end to such abuses, while the ongoing enforced disappearances in Balochistan highlight a grave human rights crisis, with victims ‘ families facing uncertainty and fear.
