‘I believe I could have won’: Biden says he would’ve defeated Trump he ran for re-election

'I believe I could have won': Biden says he would've defeated Trump he ran for re-election

If Joe Biden had run for re-election, he may have won over Donald Trump, according to Biden, who has confidence in himself. Biden made the suggestion that his ability to win another election in an interview with USA TODAY was unquestionable, despite his fears about the physical requirements of a second term.
” I believe I may have won”, Biden said. ” But far, so good. But who knows what I’m going to get when I’m 86 years older”? The leader, whose tenure likely end in two days, even discussed potential actions in his last days.

Reflecting on tradition and final selections

Biden opened up about his hope for how record may interpret his presidency while sitting at the Resolute Desk with a picture of Franklin D. Roosevelt in front of him. ” I hope history tells me that I came in and had a program to restore the economy and restore America’s authority in the world,” he said. And I hope it proves that I carried it out with integrity and honesty.
In a revolutionary period, he reflected on navigating worldwide issues and forming international coalitions. ” The country’s actually getting smaller”, Biden observed. What transpires in Japan has a profound impact on what transpires in Ukraine.
Biden is considering a controversial move as his administration comes to an end, granting preventative clemency to figures like Dr. Anthony Fauci and Liz Cheney, who have been threatened with legal action by incoming President Trump’s management.
” I tried to make evident that there was no need”, Biden said. ” His curiosity was illogical, so we had to go back and try to negotiate the scores.”

” Had to ask myself if I may meet physical and mental needs of another name.”

When asked about his determination not to get re-election, Biden linked it to the actual experiences of the president. He acknowledged the strain of the position, saying,” I had to ask myself if I may handle the physical and mental strains of the next four times.”
Biden also delved deeply into his reputation, focusing on how he helped to guide the nation through major adjustments. ” I think America is urgently needed to lead the globe”, he remarked. If we don’t, who is in charge and attempts to form partnerships with foreign opportunity?
