Sunset Tower Hotel, a Hollywood hotspot, fills up with evacuees

The Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood has been the pinnacle of pleasure market glad-handing and deal-making for almost 20 years. Jennifer Aniston, Jeff Bezos, the artist, and Tom Ford, the artist and director, are regular guests at the restaurant and bar.
However, the situation changed on Wednesday nights. Local people who had fled the Palisades, Brentwood, and Laurel Canyon neighborhoods due to the fires that were ricocheting through Southern California, razing houses and start houses, were at a power at the hotel, just like the Beverly Hills Hotel, which is three miles away.
Some brought kids. Some brought puppies. Some brought both. Lorrie Bartlett, an agent at Creative Artists Agency whose customers include Samuel L. Jackson, Regina King and Michael Keaton, was seated near the front of the cafe at the Sunset Tower Hotel, with Olive, her Rhodesian Ridgeback, to her left. After leaving her home in Laurel Canyon before that day because of what she called an “abundance of prudence,” Bartlett stayed at the hotel. The flames were only just beginning to spread to the west of Hollywood Hills. However, she claimed that her aunt in Altadena had only sold his home.
Natasha Croxall, a billionaire who lives on the top of the Palisades and Brentwood, was sobbing as she spoke into the phone with one of the approximately 20 friends she claimed had lost their homes in the previous 36 time. She was happy not to have been among them, but she was yet” thunderstruck”, she said. There were some evidence that things had turned out fine. But it all depended on the temperature, Croxall noted. ” Nothing knows”, she said.
Houses were reduced to ashes in Pacific Palisades, a star area. In the sanitized Altadena suburb, divisions burned to the ground 56 kilometers to the south. Residents of newly constructed neighborhoods hours away in interior areas like Pomona were prepared for emergency as 94kmph winds shook windowpanes and palm trees.
” The only thing I did examine with this would be a huge earthquake”, said Zev Yaroslavsky, 76, who served for years in LA as a councillor. ” Except that aftershocks have an center. This point is all over the location”, he said. ” This night, a big dark cloud hung over the area. It was biblical”.
