President Joe Biden, who has clemency power, rejected the idea of pardoning himself as he considers using them to silence President-elect Donald Trump‘s claims that he will get retribution when he makes a White House appearance on January 20.

” Myself? Why may I forgive myself? No, I have no thought of pardoning myself. I didn’t do something wrong”, Biden told reporters Friday during unexpected remarks and a Q&amp, A treatment at the White House.

Biden stated that in response to Trump’s language and the persons the president-elect has nominated for significant roles in his potential management, he is considering issuing proactive clemency.

With 10 weeks remaining in his own leadership, Biden reflected on his post-presidency programs after the White House announced Friday he may address the nation in a prime-time talk next Wednesday.

” I’m not going to be out of sight or out of mind”, he said.

Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were reportedly asked if they regretted back in May of last year when asked whether they had any regrets about running for president in 2024. Trump won the popular vote and Electoral College next year.

” I didn’t want to be one who caused a group that wasn’t unified to lose an election. And that’s why I stepped off. But I was confident she was win”, he said.

Biden spoke to share investigators after making comments about the market and the employment numbers from last month in an interview that was eventually added to his plan because he had promised to them earlier that day that he would respond to questions from non-California fires later.

He said,” I think the business I’m leaving is the best in the world and stronger than ever for all Americans.” ” So I think that’s what we have. We’ll see what the future leader does”.
