President Joe Biden made an very crude and insensitive comment on Thursday about the ongoing Los Angeles fire that caused outrage on social media. Deemed , a “disgusting” pun, Biden gave the floor to Kamala Harris, but initially stated,  ,” Madam Vice President, I know you’re directly affected. But you fire away, no joke intended”, Biden said.
According to Fox News, the incident occurred when Biden convened top operational officials to discuss the national response to the Pacific Palisades wildfires, which have displaced thousands of Californians and destroyed thousands of homes and properties.
After presentation the people on the federal government’s plan to help local authorities during the crisis, Biden gave the ground to Vice President Kamala Harris, who is from California, when he made the joke.
” Completely voice deaf”, Libs of TikTok wrote.
” What a jerk”, Conservative commentator Steve Guest said.
Traditional contributor Ben Kew remarked,” Perhaps not the time to get making puns”.
Biden stated during the briefing that the federal government would pay 100 % of the costs of a disaster response in the next 180 days.
” That’s going to pay for things like dust and risk material treatment, temporary homes, first responders ‘ pay, and all of the security measures to protect life and property”, he said. ” I want to underline, I told the government and local officers: spare no expense. And we’re doing it at the provincial level in vain.
Biden also felt the right way when he made the unacceptable remark that made him feel proud of his accomplishments as a great-grandfather.  , After signing a disaster declaration and reiterating his support for the state, Biden had” good news” for the audience:  ,” The good news is I’m a great-grandfather as of today”, Biden said.
