At least 11 people have died as a result of the fire in Los Angeles, including five in the Palisades Fire and six in the Eaton Fire. Five of the entire fatalities were people of a tight-knit community in Altadena, located near the city’s northeast border. People who have lived it for decades are endeared in the bordering Angeles National Forest. These five patients ‘ details are listed below.
Anthony Mitchell and Justin Mitchell
Anthony Mitchell lived with his two sons, Justin and Jordan, in a family residence that had been passed down through two years. Justin, in his 30s, had cognitive paralysis, and Jordan, even in his 30s, cared for both his brother and their parents, who was experiencing health problems of his own, according to a report by The New York Times.
Anthony and Justin were left alone at home after Jordan was taken to a fever hospital earlier in the week. Later that evening, Anthony contacted his girl, Hajime White, in Arkansas, telling her a fire had broken out across the street.
” He said he was certain aid would reach quickly”, Mitchell Jr recounted, as quoted by The New York Times. Cruelly, by 8 am, both Anthony and Justin were found deceased.
” I felt the program letting them down”, Mitchell Jr said. ” I believe the way the people who died there were treated,” he said.
Anthony Mitchell was well-loved in the community. His brother claims that he always took an interest in community kids, offering tips and asking about their academic progress.

Willie Jackson, 81, who had lived on Monterosa Drive since the 1970s, said,” The home had a whole lot of importance for him. Jackson recalled how Shaw’s parents, Frank, and family, Freddye, had properly cared for the house and encouraged others to do the same.
Shaw, who always married, worked as a bloodmobile drivers and afterwards did deal sales. His dad passed a tradition that he was renowned for: his commitment to keeping the yard tidy.
On Tuesday, when departure commands were issued, most companions, including Jackson, packed up and left. Shaw, nevertheless, stayed behind to guard the house. According to reports, he was determined to save it.
The next day, Jackson’s boy, William, returned to study the fire injury. He found a relative of Shaw’s searching the home. Collectively, they called Shaw’s brand, hoping he was dead but hurt. Rodney Nickerson

Rodney was a dedicated father and lively priest in the church. His wife, Suzette, passed away in 2018, and he clung to her things, unwilling to part with her attire, jewelry, or books.
As the flames approached, his family urged him to depart, but he believed it had override his home. Tragically, the property was destroyed, and much of the ocean in the swimming pool evaporated in the extreme heat. His daughter, Kimiko, told local media outlets that she found only his bones in bed.
Erliene Kelley
Erliene Kelley, a resigned pharmacy technician, lived just stones from Shaw and Nickerson. A lifelong resident of the town, she was remembered by companions Rita and Terry Pyburn for her generosity.

Terry criticized the delayed evacuation alerts, claiming that they had no idea where their place was safe until they could smell the smoke and receive the emergency alert too soon.

Erliene passed away in her house as a result of the hearth, leaving her friends and neighbors grieving.
