Balochistan, bordering Iran and Afghanistan, is home to a long-running aggressive rebellion. In the past, Kabloch rebel groups have carried out numerous attacks against CPEC jobs.
The BLA accuses China and Islamabad of abuse of the resource-rich state, a command rejected by the government. It has fought a long-running rebellion for a split country.
