Authorities are looking into a number of possible causes of the large fire, which have claimed at least 11 life and destroyed thousands of commercial and residential components in the Los Angeles area.
Hollywood stars like Jamie Lee Curtis and Billy Crystal saw their homes destroyed by the fire in the wealthy, mountain town of Pacific Palisades, officials have traced the blaze’s origins to an region perched above a heavily forested arroyo and a house on Piedra Morada Drive.

As of Friday, both the Eaton and Palisades fires continued burning with minimal containment. No precipitation was forecast as the flames spread through extensive dry areas despite calmer winds.
” It’s going to go out when it runs out of fuel, or when the weather stops”, Lentini said. ” They’re not going to put that thing out until it’s ready to go out”.
The strong winds, which have caused 10 fatalities, destroyed residential areas, and sparked anxiety in America’s second-largest city, were expected to calm down on Friday.
Since Tuesday, the fires have destroyed over 10, 000 buildings and residences across a heavily populated 25-mile ( 40-kilometre ) area north of central Los Angeles. The primary causes of the major fires remain undetermined.
Fresh warning due to predicted windy conditions
