At least 10 people have died and over 10,000 homes and businesses have been destroyed as a result of the large fire that are still burning throughout Los Angeles County and Southern California.
As of Thursday evening, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the company had “received warning of 10 fire-related murders”. At least five of the fire incidents were linked to the Eaton Fire, and two to the Palisades Fire, according to Fox News.
Cal Fire reported that the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, Hurst Fire, Kenneth Fire, and Lidia Fire have already burned almost 36, 000 acre. Fire officials reported that the Palisades Fire, which is the largest of the five main California fires, has burned roughly 20, 000 hectares and is only 8 % contained. However, the Eaton Fire has burned over 13, 500 acres and is only 3 % contained.
According to Cal Fire’s site, over 10, 000 buildings have been destroyed in Southern California as a result of the large fire.

According to The Washington Post, Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley stated to reporters,” It is safe to say that the Palisades Fire is one of the most devastating natural tragedies in the background of Los Angeles.”
One of the victims of the California fire, according to KTLA, is reportedly 66-year-old Victor Shaw, who was discovered holding onto a yard line in an effort to keep his mother’s home.
Victor Shaw’s girlfriend, Shari Shaw, reported to KTLA that a family companion found his body by the side of the road after he attempted to escape. Shari Shaw said,” They just told me that he was lying on the ground and that he looked serene, as if he was at peace” . ,
The Washington Post reported that two of the other fire patients were Anthony Mitchell, a 67-year-old armless, and his brother Justin, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Mitchell’s child, Hajime White, told the channel that the two sufferers were waiting for an emergency to appear when they were killed by the fire.
CBS News reported that another victim was identified as Rodney Nickerson, an 83-year-old uncle. Nickerson’s child told the shop,” We found his legs, his whole figure was intact”.
