Fire the Fireman? The L.A. Fires and the Death of Competency.

Here’s a speculative: You’re about to board an global journey to Sydney. Or, possibly, you’re about to have your stomach broken open for an 11-hour, high-risk brain function. The common denominator is that you’ll be placing yourself in a vulnerable situation, and without proper screening, your career will be in mortal danger.

What kind of credentials do you require from your heart surgeon or pilot?

For most of us, the answer is but stupidly, clearly clear, the question would be met with a puzzled manifestation:” Whoever’s the best at their work. Duh”.

I mean, it would be great if the pilot or doctor was a super-awesome, super-kind mortal being. That would be the icing on an already-baked pie. But in life-and-death conditions, you can’t rely on superficialities. &nbsp,

It’s not secure. &nbsp,

In a very precise feel, it’ll get you killed.

Otherwise, it’s all about skills: Is the individual do the job at the highest degree?

More than anything else, this is the spirit of MAGA. You can’t create something “great” if you’re no “great” at what you do. America used to be excellent but lost its way, according to the MAGA idea. Our officials put their weight where they should. But we can recapture our glory by reorienting our interests ( and getting rid of braindead, incompetent rulers, of course ).

This is the issue that MAGA was created to address.

The Democrats viewed the world quite different. For them, the problem wasn’t skills, brilliance, or reclaiming America’s place in the world. Those are all interruptions, feeble efforts by the racist, bigoted, racist Patriarchy to deflect us from what’s REALLY essential: Picture.

Los Angeles Fire Department Assistant Chief Kristine Larson ( Who, it seems, makes$ 399, 000 annually, the median national salary of a fireman is$ 51.7K annually. ) is quite truthful with the citizens of California. Larson pulls no blows: According to her, when your house is on fire, your# 1 goal isn’t extinguishing the blaze, but knowing that the fire “looks like you”.

In a commercial videos that the LA Fire Department purposefully released, Larson said,” You want to see someone who responds to your house, your emergency — whether it’s a skilled phone or a fire visit. Knowing that someone might understand their situation stronger, it eases that man a little more.

Whew! She’s straight, of course: When your house is on fire and Granny’s trapped in the second-story apartment, you’ll breath a sigh of relief when the workman’s skin colour is the same as yours.

Furthermore, Ms. Larson ( who makes six times more than the median fireman’s salary! ) is wonderfully open about her restrictions as a sexual firefighter. You may accuse her of some stuff — i. e. being overpaid, underqualified, underprepared — but she deserves credit for her fairness:

Of course, she isn’t strong enough to save your partner from a fire!

Larson really lampooned the problem:

” ‘ Is she powerful enough to do this?’ Or ‘ You don’t have my husband out of a flames,'” Larson asked of herself. Which is my reaction when I say,” He got himself in the wrong position if I have to take him out of a fireplace. ‘” ]emphasis added ]

For individuals like Larson, the “problem” that the L. A. The question that the Fire Department was meant to address is therefore completely disconnected from competence that it seems absurd: workers are the topic.

The Fire Department’s goal is to promote variety. &nbsp,

Period. End of story.

Even if the new fire is unable to actually extricate a man from a burning fireplace. After all, it was This FAULT to be there in the first position. ( Stop being such a troublemaker. )

The Joker, the biggest monster in the DC hero universe, is infamously motivated by a desire to “watch the world burn,” something that should be noted. The L. A. The Fire Department has even gone one step more by employing rescuers who can’t even bring patients out of burning houses.

And just like that, Left Coast Liberalism’s temperature dream vanished. ( By the way, I’m quite sure a burning, smoldering, blazing Los Angeles produces a significant carbon footprint. Over the coming decades, Gavin Newsom will need to increase his coal balances. Everyone was destroyed.

And if the clean-up personnel, building staff, and rebuilders are hired via the same “employment requirements” as the L. A. Fire Department, the City of Angels will never again be a City of Citizens. Otherwise, it’ll serve as a cautionary tale — the greatest monument to competence-free management.
