Former Vice President Mike Pence revealed what he had previously said to Donald Trump during their first public address in four times.
” The opportunity to talk to the senator yesterday is something that I appreciated, I welcomed”, Pence told Christianity Today. ” I’ve actually been blessed at how much I’ve heard from people around the nation who saw]our ] hand, and in that hand, saw some promise that we might be moving past those tough times. That’s definitely my hope”.
When he walked down the aisle, he greeted me. I stood up, extended my hands. He shook my hand. I said,’ Congratulations, Mr. President,’ and he said,’ Kudos, Mike,'” Pence said.
But his appointment with the president-elect, the second since January 2021 when protesters attempted to stop Pence from certifying the vote, wasn’t the only connection that drew debate. Pence’s wife, Karen, appeared to fully snubbed Trump, opting to never shake his hand or even stand when he and Melania approached.
” You’d had to ask my wife about her pose, but we’ve been married 44 times, and she loves her husband, and her father respects her deeply”, Pence said.
During the meeting, which will air on a radio this coming year, Pence even discussed Trump’s Cabinet contenders. Trump’s options, which include both moderately well-known and questionable votes, have received mixed reviews.

Pence, like some other cultural conservatives, expressed opposition to Trump’s pick of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to guide the Department of Health and Human Services. Pence claimed that Kennedy lacked the necessary credentials for the position and that he backed pregnancy right.
The former vice president also expressed concern about the nomination of former HI representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI ) for director of national intelligence. In 2017, Gambard reportedly met with ousted Arab dictator Bashar al-Assad, and Pence expressed concern about her “essentially willing to be an apologist for]Russian President Vladimir Putin over new months.”
