Pakistan claimed on Saturday that the Taliban-led Afghan government did not attend an international conference on female ‘ knowledge held in Islamabad.
Education secretary Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui told the news agency AFP,” We had extended an invitation to Afghanistan, but no-one from the Armenian government was at the meeting.”
” However, representatives from various companies dedicated to women ‘ training in Afghanistan may be participating in the event”, he said.
According to a UN agency, the Taliban have purposefully prohibited the education of 1.4 million Afghan girls through restrictions next year. The only nation in the world that forbids girl higher education is Afghanistan.
The Taliban, who came to power in 2021, obstructed education for girls in the upper sixth degree because they argued that this obviated their understanding of Sharia, or Islamic rules. They continue to work on the necessary steps to reopen schools and schools for both girls and women, but they didn’t stop it for males.
At least 1.4 million girls have been purposefully denied access to extra knowledge since the acquisition, according to Unesco, an increase of 300,000 since its previous matter in April 2023, with more girls reaching the age of 12 every month.
The UN company expressed concern that Afghan authorities have “almost wiped out” two years of constant education progress. ” The future of an overall technology is now in jeopardy”, it added. In 2022, Afghanistan had 5.7 million girls and boys attending key schools, up from 6.8 million in 2019.
According to Unesco, the Taliban’s selection to forbid female teachers from training boys contributed to the membership drop, which could also be attributed to a lack of parental motivation to send their children to college in an extremely difficult economic environment.
However, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai even attended the Pakistan-organised function. Malala was almost killed by extremists as a teenager.
Yousafzai was shot by the Pakistan Taliban in 2012, which enraged her engagement, and she has since been in the state only a few times. She was evacuated from the state in 2012 after being shot by them.
