The fire that are sweeping through Los Angeles County have left a path of destruction, with 16 fatalities and thousands of institutions destroyed. The town is grappling with common evacuations, toxic air quality, and a broken community as firefighters try to contain the brutal Santa Ana winds. Janell Gruss, a firm director, recounted her harrowing departure with 25 animals:” It was very pungent. It was black. I couldn’t see where I was. I was tripping over branches while the horses and I were both doing. I believed I may not survive.
International support and group endurance
Both Canada and Mexico have sent air tankers and rescuers to help. French Prime Minister Justin Trudeau acknowledged the US’s earlier support during Canada’s 2023 fire, saying,” We’re all in this together”.
