Due to the Supreme Court’s potential restrictions, TikTok’s future rests on the horizon because the law, signed by President Joe Biden in April, requires it to be independent of its Chinese parent company ByteDance. The restrictions may go into influence starting on January 19 and, if it does occur, it will be the first significant social media platform blocking in the nation. Elon Musk should now be able to purchase Tiktok, according to X people, sparking a debate over whether Musk may purchase it or not.
TikTok needs to have a US user in order to be accessible in the US. KevinO’Leary, a star of Shark Tank, now indicated his desire to purchase TikTok, but added that he would need Donald Trump’s assistance to close the deal.
Donald Trump once argued against a moratorium on TikTok in 2020. He is currently attempting to overturn the restrictions, so he has asked the Supreme Court to stop it from being effective until after he takes office. It’s unclear whether the Supreme Court may accept the request. If it does, Donald Trump is put a 90-day suspension on his presidency if TikTok reveals that he is currently in the process of separating from ByteDance. The Justices indicated that they could support the moratorium because they were not satisfied with TikTok’s objections during oral claims.
What Elon Musk said on TikTok ban
Elon Musk stated in April 2024 that even though TikTok does gain his platform X, he should remain anonymous in the US. That would be in opposition to the right to free speech and appearance. It is not what America values, Musk remarked at the time. He claimed that he had no strong opinion on TikTok and that he was not in favor of banning issues.
Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg? Conspiracy theories surface
Mark Zuckerberg allegedly previously attempted to purchase TikTok, but after that he lost all desire for the platform. He also claimed TikTok is a danger to democracy. According to conspiracy theories, Mark Zuckerberg may be Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg now that he appears to be toeing Donald Trump’s range. And the second chance, according to plot principles, is that they are consolidating toward the approaching leader to make him ban TikTok.
